About VUE Nashville

The Vision:

VUE Nashville was built in 2018 with the goal of providing a high quality creative space, in a convenient location, at an affordable hourly rate. The studio was assembled with creatives in mind to cater to all different experience levels. We believe that we were created by the creator to create. So in turn, VUE Nashville was “created for creators to create.”

The History:

Before VUE Nashville existed, Studio 1, was a personal photography studio for the Emmy Nominated Sebastian Smith. The studio was unnamed and split between a few other local photographers, some of whom are VUE members today. Sebastian started getting busier with work outside of Nashville and wasn’t utilizing the studio space as much as anticipated.

Jarett Blihovde, the former assistant to Sebastian, had the idea to start renting the space out while it was not being used. The thought of building and managing a creative rental space was appealing to Jarett. He pitched the idea to Sebastian and that conversation was the inception of what is now known as VUE Nashville. Shortly after, VUE Nashville was open for business. Jarett’s idea along with Sebastian’s creative yet doer mentality was the perfect partnership to get VUE off the ground.

Sebastian continued working while Jarett worked on marketing, client development, and booking. In 2019 Jarett bought Sebastian’s half of VUE. The business has since expanded to three studios and the vision for VUE continues to grow. We are proud to say we have set the market price on what affordable studios can produce in terms of product, location and service in Nashville. We are happy to serve our, first timers, regulars, and members. We plan to continue growing and expanding to create more for creators to create in. Thank you for supporting us.
